sending out rec with broken forearm
Damn tired.... just reached home from CGH after sending a recruit to A&E because he broke his left forearm during training, and didn't have my dinner until just now...
Today is my first time sending rec out and also sitting inside an ambulance. The rec who got injured is actually q.funny because he was smiling all the way even when his forearms is actually forming a U shape. Kinda er xin and funny when his expression doesn't tally with what I was thinking... I wonder is it because he is a PR from burmese, thats y he seems tougher or its actually not as painful as I thought? In anyway, I think he leaves a deep impression in my mind not just because of this incident. But because of the interactions we had over these few weeks. He is actually one of my fav rec in coyline. A good soldier with an unfortunate incident. 3 more weeks to POP and just left with final 2 important route march before clearing everything... Really felt the pain and sadness for him but there is nothing much I can do to help at this point of time. What happened cannot be reverse... Sigh...
Waited for his family to fetch him back home from hospital just now. His dad rushed back to Singapore within 4hrs from his work at Indonesia. Po~wer~! The reaction of the family members all seems to be pretty cool and claim. Didn't make any big whoo haa. Again.., this makes me wonder if its due to nationality or what? No matter what, just hope that he will be fine and have speedy recovery...
