Glucosamine
Haa, my second post of the "morning". Just wanna share this info that I learned from one of the ntuc pharmacist. Recently I went to check out about glucosamine for my knee problem because I though I should do something about it for long term plan. Though (I thought) the condition have been getting better because I didn't suffer from pain when I run. //I think its because of the squats I done before the run.
From the queries about different brands of glucosamine, the pharmacist told me that some of brands of glucosamine is not very suitable for some people, especially people who have high cholesterol or high blood (I can't remember very clearly which symtoms is it liao). Though I do not have these problem (according to what I know), but the point is, do check with professionals if you wanna buy health products. Try not to ask sales person from shops with no or close to zero knowledge about health products and what they care about is making sales. From my personal experience, most of the time, they will tell you whatever product is "good", many people are buying it and the feedbacks recieved for the product are excellent...etc. However, whatever they said doesn't mean everything. Something that is good for others might not be good for you and vice versa.
All in all, my advice for everyone is to check with professionals before buying anything, be it health product or other stuff. Know who really are the professionals, looks are decieving. Feed them with information before getting information from them (Give and take). Tabulate and process the information gathered before making decision. =)
